NEW JERSEY'S STATE DIRECTOR
TERRY, born and raised in Brooklyn New York, graduated from New Utrecht High School and from the Nancy Taylor Business School in NYC. Having danced and performed since childhood being able to continue at this stage of her life, brings her great joy! Her parents were ballroom dancers and she grew up in a home filled with music, theater and dance. Terry and her husband Mark, married since 1965, are certified volunteers with many State and National organizations and are in-demand speakers on organ and tissue donation....which is their passion. Mark received the "Gift of Life" a life-saving new heart in 2008 from an anonymous donor. She is the founding member of the "SYNCOPATIONS" Dance Troupe and has performed regularly through the state. She has appeared in music videos and theater productions. Terry has traveled the country to dance competitions including Salsa Congresses, and professional dance events as the model and representative of "Shall We Dance Designs". She is currently a talent judge at the "Laurita WInery Idol" competitions. Terry comes to the MS NJ Senior America Pageant and Cameo Club with a varied background in the world of theater, dance, directing, choreography, costume design, production and organization.
Johanne has been vice president and treasurer of Atlantic City Women's Chamber of Commerce, President of South Jersey Women's Tennis League, Chairperson of the Aids Alliance Benefit Mardi Gras & Ball, and member of the Committee of Atlantic City's 150th Birthday Celebration.
Johanne devotes a significant amount of time to her family, but finds time to play tennis, golf, downhill and cross-country ski and squash, having won tournaments and awards in all of the activities.
Johanne was Ms NJ Senior America in 2006. Johanne became Ms NJ Senior America State Director in 2007 along with the assistance of her loving husband Adeo, married since 1959. In 2017, she has become the NJ State Administrator and passed the directorship over to Terry Meade. In 2017 she also received the Honorary Senior America banner.
